Interaction program in Dailekh

ROYM Nepal successfully hosted a vital interaction program in Dailekh on October 22, 2024, focusing on the importance of active participation by local governments to ensure citizens' rights. The event, organized in collaboration with Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal (AEIN) and the Youth Human Rights Defenders Network, saw significant participation from local government officials and community representatives. Thanks to the Member of Parliament, Deputy Chief of Dailekh, Mayor of the district, and chairpersons of the ward for their presence.

The program resulted in local governments committing to key actions in their upcoming budgets and policy programs: promoting human rights, creating targeted programs and budgets, recording human rights violations, and ensuring the security of human rights defenders.

Our initiative aims to promote human rights education and youth advocacy through the Human Rights and Social Justice Campaign Unity Project.
